July 02, 2002 ( Tuesday, July 02, 2002 ) Holy Sha-moly...where do I start? First off, let me thank those who read my last blog entry and found it humourous. This past week has been...overwhelming. Simply overwhelming. Thursday was the best day of my life without any stretch of the truth. It was just so great. The only time that I felt tears building up was when we first walked out and the entire crowd was standing and clapping, that made 13 years of school worthwhile. Friday was just as amazing. I think that's the closest that I've ever felt to my friends and it felt great to be all snazzed up. Even though sleep was at a minimum this past weekend, it was the best time of my life. Saturday was equally interesting and I should probably tell you people why I was a bit emotional, but I'll get to that later. Sunday was awesome too, not just because of the presents and money and stuff, but because people came to celebrate MY acheivements. Monday was cool too. Ft.Steele was really fun (I'm almost finished my jawbreaker Nichole!). The fireworks were cool, but losing my phone gave me a minor heart attack. That about sums up my jam-packed weekend, and to top it all off I'm going back to camp to be a cabin leader (I can't wait!). So now I suppose I can tell you (you being the people at Ginn's who comforted me) why I was an emotional wreck. I think we all have the same fear that we're going to lose our little group of friends and that's part of what made me so upset, but the main reason is because of the bad habit I have of driving away my best friends. It's probably not my fault that they leave but they do, and it hurts. And now, I'm scared to make close-friends because I have this intense fear that I'm going to drive them away because of something that I did. It's really hard to explain... But..anyways...i'm gonna stop talking :) |
