June 02, 2003 ( Monday, June 02, 2003 ) Plastic Flowers and Baseball Games Finally, I'm home....I started work at about 11 this morning and didn't get home until 9...bleh...It was fun though. For the last 3 hours of my first shift (I work a split shift) I got to make "plastic flowers". If you've ever seen those little plastic ball things that are parade floats, well, I made like 200 of those today. The clients at the center make them and then sell them to companies who need them for floats. I literally sat and made them for three hours....oh well, it felt nice to rest my gimped ankle... The second half of my shift I worked at the ballpark concession. I pretty much just go, count the float money, supervise the client serving customers, and then count the money at the end....I have a feeling that I'm going to be watching a lot of baseball, and reading a lot of books. But, I should probably go to bed since I have to work tomorrow again. |
