Yay for nights when I get off work early! Absolutely nobody showed up at the ballpark tonight so we went home at 6:00, I walked over to Wal-Mart to meet up with Cynthia and Nichole, cuz I didn't really want to go home. So we went to my house to grab my bank card, then we decided that we were going to go explore Fisherville, which is a decrepid ghost town. Not like Fort Steele, this one isn't remodeled, what you see is what it once was. We saw creepy graves, a neat orchard and a view of the river/mountains/valley that cannot be described in words...I kid you not. We walked for about 3 hours (cynthia got tired so she sat in the car for most of it). We walked along roads that were built in 1864....it was crazy...just being near all of that history gives me this rush. I love exploring old ghost towns/buildings. What I want to do one day, is just go on a tour of BC and Alberta ghost towns....just..explore buildings. Once I find my Ghost Stories of BC book, I'm going to figure out where the haunted mansion is (it's near Creston) and Nichole and I (and whoever else is brave enough) are going to stay over night....should be interesting. I'm really on a hiking/nature kick. I have a pamphlet for Lakit Lookout sitting in front of me and I really want to go.....
