August 16, 2003 ( Saturday, August 16, 2003 ) It's been another crazy week that I haven't managed to have time enough to post so I'm just going to write up another weekly recap... Saturday- went to Moyie Falls with Chris, Ginn, and Nichole. Went cliff-jumping, was great except for the popped blood vessel and the ripped off toenail. Took some cool pictures. Sunday- I can't really remember what we did on Sunday..if someone does, please tell me. I think this was the first night of my week long stay at Erin's house. Monday- Tried to go to Rock Lake with Chris, Nichole, and Erin but left right after we got there, went to Surveyors instead. Was fun except for trying to find the lost diving sticks. Went to Fisherville afterwards (damn you chris for drinking my water). Tuesday- Worked, went to see S.W.A.T. with Chris, Ginn, Nichole, and Corrine from work. Was an awesome movie. Colin Farrell is a damn good actor. Went to Denny's after. Wednesday- Worked, swam across Jimsmith Lake with Chris, Nichole, and Erin. Didn't stay too long. Went back to Erin's and played video games. Thursday- worked, watched Phone Booth and played a cool racing game. Friday- worked, played the racing game at Nicholes, and finally got some much needed sleep! So, I don't want complain about the same thing that everyone in the city is complaining about, but this smoke really licks my ***. My throat is either clogged with ash and dust or it's swelling from all the smoke. I've gone through a half bottle of visine in like 3 weeks. It really sucks, not to mention the fires damaging the local forests...and the fact that we can't get to some of our favourite swimming spots.(i really wanted to go to Mineral this year). Next week is my last week of work and i have mixed feelings about it. I'm so thankful that I got the job and had all the experience that'll help me for school, but I'm glad that I'll have at least one week left in the summer to relax. It's been a few years since I've actually had a summer where I haven't worked through it... |
