December 15, 2003 ( Monday, December 15, 2003 ) Whirlwind Ok...I'll start on Thursday.... Thursday Ok...wrote my Observing and Recording exam. Got accused of cheating or..rather...helping Alix cheat *glares* So then I went to board my bus. It was insanely cold out and I was so happy to get onto the bus. It wasn't full, though there was more people than on the last bus I was on. It was so annoying to have to stop in every single little town. And out of all the stops, Cranbrook was the only one to actually have it's own station. And...Fort Macleod is like...totally stuck in the 50's. It was the creepiest place ever. So after 7 hours and transferring from an empty bus to a jam-packed one, I finally arrived in Calgary! We went to Scott's and then rented a movie and got some groceries (and candy). We had a nice dinner of salmon, pasta, and asparagus. It was very yummy. Then we had some malibu-pineapple juice and watched Final Destination 2 *shudder* so graphic Friday woke up late and then got ready to go get Erin's gift from Ikea. It was fun trying out the chairs and sofas.....then we went to the Chinook Center and I got freaked out by the living display things. *shudder* Had no money to actually buy anything, but hopefully next time I will. We didn't stay very long, but picked up some Starbucks before leaving (Caramel Apple Cider is rising on the list of favourite drinks). Then we went to the Calgary Tower again which was very pleasant. Then we decided to find and walk around Olympic Plaza. Finding it took some time, and we eventually decided to park and then take the C-Train to the plaza stop. We walked around for a bit and took some neat pictures with the statues and the big lion. And Scott found me a scarf (which is in the process of being washed). Finally we headed back home and I made some dinner; chicken stir-fry and rice. And then we made some cookies.Then we watched Beauty and the Beast...well...I watched most of it...I fell asleep near the end. Saturday Slept in late again. Then headed to Starbucks again before going home. So the drive was good for the most part. No snow until the border when all of a sudden it was like WHAM! BLIZZARD! and it was crazy. We made it almost all the way home (10 minutes away) until the dreaded happened. We swerved and made a quick ditch entry. Thankfully we were both ok. Just a bit shaken. We had to wait for almost 2 hours before we could finally get back into town but we did make it back in time for Erin's party. We suprised her! It was great. Then we headed to Monarch's and danced a bit before deciding to go sledding. Everyone had a good time. Scott obviously did...as he was more than tipsy *wink* Then we went to Denny's and finally home. Sunday Woke up late (a growing trend)...then we had some lunch (Spongebob Macaroni!) and then decided to go to Hot Shots with Chris. Scott and Chris played Chess while I read magazines...then we walked around the Superstore and Wal-mart before going home. We ate and then walked down to the insanely lit-up house and took some pictures. Then we went to Tim Hortons with Chris and came home to pass out as we both had to be up at 7 the next day. Monday Woke up early...earlier than I get up for school! Then we went to Kal-tire to get Scott's truck. Then back to my house to laze around until noon. Scott dropped me off so I could work on my presentation with Amber and Katie and then he went for coffee with Ginn and Chris before leaving. That pretty much brings us up to now. So....Christmas is like next week and I have nothing done. Nothing. I have gift ideas i my head..and some of them I've started making but I haven't actually finished an entire gift....I'll start tomorrow *rolls eyes* Have a merry monday..... I love you Scott |
