January 04, 2004 ( Sunday, January 04, 2004 ) So here I am again, finally. It's been a ka-razy week and a bit. I went to Calgary with Annalise on the 27th and that itself was an adventure. We gossiped, laughed, cringed, and made fools of ourselves pretty much the whole way there. Once in Calgary, Scott and I celebrated our 3 month anniversary and our own version of Christmas. We went for dinner and then came home and opened presents. The trip was awesome. It was so nice to just lay around and not worry about anything. I had so much fun just being with Scott. On New Years Eve day, Scott and I made our way back to Cranbrook and then hosted a mini New Years party. Chris made sushi, we played games. It was so nice to be at a party with the people that mean the most to me. On New Years Day we all went for breakfast/lunch...even though Denny's was out of almost everything. That night we went sledding and Chris, Ginn, and I played our own version of "pole Survivor". Again, the rest of the weekend was spent just lazing around. We watched movies, played some board games and Scott and I just tried to make the most of our time together. The distance thing is getting harder. Today, when he left, was the hardest it has ever been. After being with him for a week, spending every day with him...it's really hard to see him leave. We've planned our next weekend together and that's really comforting to know the exact day that we will see each other again, but it's still really hard. We've both said that this will only make us stronger, that if we can pull through the distance factor than we'll be unbreakable....but it's still hard. I made three New Years Resolutions this year, and I really hope to stick to them. 1. Eat healthier:...this is going to help for when I fully go vegetarian... 2. Be healthier: Do more physically active things, hopefully at least once a day. 3. To love Scott more and more each day: That goes with out an explination... So I hope everyone has had a joyous season, it's back to the grind tomorrow for many. Happy 2004 everyone. |
