May 31, 2004 ( Monday, May 31, 2004 ) Ok Ok, I know that it's been a while since I've posted....I'm sorry *bends over for the whipping* A lot has happened in the last little while but I can manage to fit most of it into some nice little sections. The Job So last friday (May 22?) I got a job for the summer! It's at the same organization that I worked at last year, the Cranbrook Community Living Center, although in a different program. Last year I worked in the Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities. This year I'm working in the Youth Summer Recreation program. Which means that I get to spend most of the summer outside :) It should be great, as I hear that there's a trip to Silverwood involved. The Tattoo Back in September after Alix ,Annick (from class) and I finished Survivor Rockies, we made a vow to get tattoos at the end of the year. Well, Alix got sick so she couldn't get hers, but Annick and I stayed true to our promise and last Saturday I got my first tattoo. It's a small chinese symbol for strength. It's outlined in black and filled with a light blue. It's located on the back of my right leg just above my ankle. It looks a little gross right now because the scab is falling off. The Grad This past friday was my grad. I am now a Human Service Worker. Yay! Ceremonies were pretty short only about an hour. We started doing shooters at around 3:00 :P The after parties were really fun. We all met up at Annick's house where Kelly's husband made "damn good" pina-coladas. We had champagne and food and then went to Finnagins where we ended up having a load of fun. A smaller group of us head over to Monarchs for about an hour before we all headed home. It was great. Sad though, as that's the last time we'll all be together as a group. Those are the most vital things that have happened recently. Tomorrow night I'm heading to Lethbridge with Scott for his grad.
