May 17, 2004 ( Monday, May 17, 2004 ) Yay, my weekend was pretty awesome. Friday- I slept in late (about 11:00) and lazed around the house for a bit. Then Annick from my class phoned and we decided that we'd go to Yuk Yuks for some good comedy. I phoned Chris and Erin, and of course my better half (Scott) came too. When we got there, our table had 16 people. Only about 7 or 8 that I knew. The comedy itself was good. The opening guy was far better than the headlining guy. But it was free so I can't complain. After the comedy club we went to Shotguns. It wasn't all that bad. There was a lot of country and a lot of old people but we managed to have fun. Annick kept going up to one of the guitarists in the band that was playing and groping his hair. It was great. Saturday- Didn't really sleep in too late but I wasn't really tired. I got to hang out with my Scott all day so I was happy. We decided that we were going to rent some video games and stay in for the night. It was proven that he is far better at MarioKart than I am. It was also proven that we can be very verbally abusive while playing video games (well, Princess IS a whore). We also watched some American Idol first season before going to bed. It was fun. Sunday- Woke up early (well, 10:30). I had to go to church..which was...well...churchy. After church I came home and then decided I wanted to go for a bike ride. I went through the community forest and ended up just out of town (on Highway 3) I decided to keep following the trail (which happened to be an old train rail bed). I followed this trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail, I took this one turn,following the trail until I discovered that it crossed the highway and I turned back to follow the rail bed instead. I didn't follow it for very long, maybe 45 minutes before I decided to turn back. It was a good thing too because it was starting to rain. I then decided that I would stop in to see Scott on my way back home. When I got there I discovered that I had been biking for more than 4 hours straight. I stayed at Scott's for a little bit before going home for dinner. Then it was cleaning and sleeping time! Monday- Even though it's not fully over yet, I still have stuff to post about today. This morning I kind of got to sleep in as my practicum site doesn't open until 12 on Mondays. I had to go to the college to talk to my professor and to use the computer as my Internet Explorer isn't working. So I checked the mail and saw that there was a letter from the College. I figured it was just something about Grad ceremonies but when I opened it I found out that....*drumroll*.....I MADE THE DEAN'S LIST! WOOT! That means that my final mark was above 85%. Yay! So that is the summary of my weekend *nod* |
