June 06, 2004 ( Sunday, June 06, 2004 ) Back from Lethbridge! We had a blast. Aside from a few minor setbacks along the way, everything was great. We got to Lethbridge at about 11:30 and went right to bed. We woke up and got our hair cuts (I must admit, Kelly did one super job). After that we had to run to Wendy's for lunch before meeting everyone at the University. Two hours later, Scott was a University Graduate! After that we went to Moxies and then to Allison's house where Scott got a bit tipsy. We went bowling after that and then went back to the hotel for sleeeep. Thursday was reserved for shopping. We picked up Warren and then went to the mall, and then Starbucks. After we dropped Warren off at the bus depot we went back to the mall where we found out that there was MAJOR glitch at the Royal Bank and nothing that was deposited in the last two days had gone through. Unfortunately I had deposited my tax return ($500) the night before we left. So, I didn't really have much money, but managed to get an advance from the bank lady. That night we went to East Side Marios and pigged out. Then we went back to the hotel where we threw ice cubes into the pool and Scott stole complimentary apples. The next day we were woken up by housekeeping and decided to get up. I stole conditioner from the housekeeping cart because I loved the smell of it. We packed everything up and then went to Toys R Us and the Pawn Shop to find Mario Kart. We couldn't find Mario Kart, but at Wal-Mart we bought a Pirate Spongebob toy that has become our travel mascot. Before we left Lethbridge we had some more Wendy's and then did some geocaching. The first one we found was really cool because it was directly under the train bridge. It was neat. We couldn't find the second one we looked for but we did find a flock of Pelicans. Now, I thought that Pelicans only lived in Australia but I was proven wrong. Then we headed back to Cranbrook. We stopped to buy lottery tickets ( I didn't win, although I thought I did). We did another Geocache at Frank Slide and then walked around the interpretive center. We made some pretty tasteless jokes, but they were funny. We finally made it home around 11:30. We had a shower and then went to bed. Yesterday (saturday) I bought 3 scratch tickets (1-$3 and 2-$2) I ended up winning my $5 back so I cashed them in and got the same combination of tickets. I ended up winning $5 again! And Scott won $10 after wishing that he would win the Super 7. YAY |
