Where to start?

Work has been going by pretty good. The paychecks are a nice thing to have after no real income for a whole year. Some days my head is just fried though, either from the hot heat or the millions of questions that the clients ask. I am having fun though, it's a million times better than my job last year, and I  thought that it was as good as it could get. Tonight, I believe we're going to the movies.

This weeked was the highlight of my summer (at least so far). Scott and I made a trip to Calgary for the Stampede and more specifically to see the Nelly Furtado concert. When we got to Calgary we met up with Scott's friend Emma who is cooler than cool. Then we headed down for some smoothies and  finally took the C-Train to the Stampede. We spent the first few hours of the stampede on rides like "Drop of Fear" and "G-Force". Much more impressive than the Cranbrook Carnival. I felt like a little kid the whole time. Just being impressed and amazed and excited about everything that was in front of me. We played some carnival games and played some bingo just to get out of the heat. We also ate lots of junk food! But it was so good. After walking around all day and using up our ride tokens we headed over to the Coca-Cola stage for the highlight of the trip. Nelly came out on stage at about 9:30 and it seemed like everything else in the world was going in slow motion. Her show was very energized, and she's as good a singer live as she is on CD (in my opinion). For the last few weeks, my song of choice has been Forca (a Nelly F. song,). I wasn't favouring it because I was going to see her, I was favouring it because it fit my mood, it was the right song to fit me at the time. It's an incredible feeling to get to hear the song that you're loving so much, live in concert. It was so great.

After the concert we met up  with Emma's sister and watched some fireworks and ate some more junk food. Then we went home and slept. The next morning, Emma had to go to church so we said our goodbyes and headed on out. We did some geocaching (the bear that we left was taken the next day!) and then went to the mall. I bought some sunglasses, a nice jacket, some jeans, and a cowboy boot shotglass. After shopping we went for dinner at Treasures of China. For about $17 you can have all you can eat anything. They had crab legs, 6 different kinds of shrimp, tables full of noodles and rice, sushi, a mongolian grill, 12 kinds of ice cream, and about 7 more tables full of stuff. We ate until we literally couldn't think about food anymore. Then we headed back to Cranbrook, back to work, back to reality.

Last night Scott and I worked out on the bowflex. Hopefully, within a few months, I'll be a bit more muscley and not so....plain.

I'm a little freaked out right now. My job ends at the end of August and I have no idea what I'm doing after that. I don't know if I'll have a new job lined up. I know if I should go back to school or if I should wait. It's scary not really knowing what you're doing, what's going to happen in a few months. I don't like it :(
