October 06, 2004 ( Wednesday, October 06, 2004 ) Ok so....a few important things... First and foremost, I'm happy. I'm really really happy and it's all because of one person. Scott. He makes me the happiest person in the world. If I didn't have him in my life, I don't even want to know where I would be. He is a solid rock for me when I need him to be and a romantic, sweet guy when I need that part. He's amazing...simply...amazing. After a year together, I only love him more. I love him so much more than I ever thought. The past year with him has flown by and I can't wait to spend many more with him. Second, I've had the new Sarah Slean CD for a week now and it's just....wow. It's amazing. It's great. It's amazingly great. I can't even pick a favourite song. I thought for sure it would the title track, Day One, but when I listened to the CD there are so many more that I love. Pilgrim, Mary, and Out in the Park are all really beautiful songs. If you've never listened to Sarah Slean before, I really reccommend you do. She's very artistic, somewhat abstract, but supremely talented. Check out her website for more info http://www.sarahslean.com. On the day that I bought Day One, I also bought Sarah Harmer's older CD, You Were Here. I have liked Sarah Harmer for about a year now ( I really like her song Basement Apt). I found out way back in June that she's having a concert here on Oct 9th so I bought tickets for Scott and I. Before I bought this CD I hadn't really heard much of her other music, besides her newer single Almost, but now I can't wait for the concert on Saturday. She's a great folkish/pop singer, very literal lyrics which are just.....I don't know...relatable? realistic? Anyways, my favourites off that CD are Around This Corner, Basement Apt, and The Hideout. So there you have it. A blog entry about the "S" that I love, cherish, and couldn't live without (Scott), the "S" I enjoy (Sarah Slean) and the "S" that I'm discovering (Sarah Harmer) I *heart* you Scott :) |
