October 28, 2004 ( Thursday, October 28, 2004 ) so, it's been a while. I wish I was disciplined enough to post like...daily...one can dream. So let's see what's happened since the last post. Scott and I almost moved to Nelson, because he had (what we thought was) a good job offer. It turned out to be not really worth the move so we stayed here. The Sarah Harmer concert was great! Out of the three concerts I've been to this year (Nickelback, Nelly Furtado, Sarah Harmer) this one was the best! I think I'd rate it second on my list of concerts, behind the Sarah Slean concert in Banff. It's going to take a lot of knock that one off first place. So anyways, the concert was really good. It was 3 hours! And afterwards we got to talk to her and she signed my CD and my poster and we talked about the new Sarah Slean cd. It was very good! So, in August, this guy that is in charge of residential services at the organization that I worked at in the summer, told me to give him a resume because he had something for me. So I did. At the end of September he called me back and told me that he'd phone me back for an interview. It's now the end of October and he hasn't mentioned anything. I'm getting a little worried. I need a job and Wal-Mart is looking pretty good right about now. I've been keeping myself busy though. Last week I completed a mural for the organization that I worked for. It's just their logo, but it took me a week to do. I also completed illustrating the children's book that Shirley (lady from one of my classes) asked me to illustrate. They have a bunch of publishers interested,but none have confirmed publication. But if and when that happens, she said that I'd get paid. I'm working on the second book now. So yes.... I love Scott |
