December 02, 2004 ( Thursday, December 02, 2004 ) So, I had orientation for Wal-Mart on Friday. It was pretty good. Kinda lame, in that "do we really need to learn this?" kind of way. We had to do a Scavenger Hunt and other "get to know each other" games which gave me flashbacks of grade school. I was supposed to be in Inventory but on Saturday, while asking my manager what I was supposed to be doing, I was moved to housewares. Now, as much as I whined and complained about having to work at Wal-Mart, it's actually not that bad. I get about 8.5 hours a day which is pretty good. And it's so laid-back there. I mean, you really just work without having someone breathing down your neck like at Tim Hortons. So yes, today is my day off which is nice. I can't belive it's almost christmas! And there isn't even any snow. |
