January 11, 2005 ( Tuesday, January 11, 2005 ) So life is going along great. I moved into Scott's house and it's going good, although a lot of my stuff is still at my parents. There isn't enough room for all of our stuff to be here so I'll probably have to wait until we move (not for a while) before I bring over all my stuff. It's going really great though, I really love living here with Scott. It's my home, not my parents, but mine and Scott's, it's just ours :) Work stuff is kind of sucky. I was jobless for about a week and a bit so I decided to bite the bullet and drop off a resume at Tim Hortons (*sigh* I know). The day after I did that, Wal-Mart phoned back and asked me to come back for part-time, I agreed because I need something. Then Tims phoned and hired me right away. So I worked it all out and I'm now working at both with specific availibility. It sucks that I have to work two minimum wage jobs but it's really the only thing open for me. It's only temporary too, I'm applying to go back to school (hello student loans) and hopefully I'll be doing the summer recreation program again this summer. Scott is also applying for a new job which I'm sure he'll get! It sounds pretty great. New Years resolutions are still in effect (wow, a whopping 11 days). Scott and I are still working out 3 days on, 1 day off. Hopefully we'll stick to it, not like last time where we gave up after like a month. We're both eating healthy too, no junk food (except on our one splurge day a week). I'm still a vegetarian and I actually really like it. Tofu (despite it's negative reputation) is actually a very versatile food. You can cook it like meat in a stir-fry or in spaghetti or you can put it in a smoothie. It's very good, I reccomend you try it. I had some doubts about being a vegetarian. I didn't want to be bored with dull food but honestly I haven't missed meat yet and I eat great food just like before. I feel better too. Hope everyone else is having a good 2005 so far :) |
