March 24, 2005 ( Thursday, March 24, 2005 ) Feeling a lot better about the whole work situation. I'm not exactly jumping for joy but it's only a few days and there's no sense in getting all worked up about it. One thing that I've noticed is that 99.9% of all the people who I've talked about this with have focused on the money. I'm not saying that's bad, It's just interesting how money can be the first thing in some people's minds. Even my boss when we phoned me and told me that I would be working these shifts, a huge emphasis was placed on the money aspect. Sure money is handy but I don't try and place it on my top three list of priorities. It's kind of depressing to think about money. So many people just let it drive them. Let it make them do stupid things. Things are going alright. The weather is improving (it's not snowing anymore!). That means I can start jogging again soon. The KNA 10K run is in less than a month and I haven't done ANY training for it...then again, I never really did in the last years and always finished under an hour. Have you ever wondered if your goals were silly? I have a few that seem a little far-fetched but they are goals nonetheless. I'd love to finish the Rocky Mountain Triathalon. I thought about doing it last year, but with school and everything I couldn't. This year I think it's too late as I would need to do more training than a couple months. I have a goal of climbing Fisher Peak which never seems to happen. Another goal that I've tacked on recently is to try and bike from here to Calgary on the Trans Canada Trail. I've already mapped it out and it would take about 4-5 days (of course stopping a lot on the way). It's just a goal.... Feeling:
