May 24, 2005 ( Tuesday, May 24, 2005 ) Had a pretty good weekend, busy, but good. I got called into work on Thursday so that was good. On Friday I went to help set up for my "cousin's" (not really family) wedding. That was...mayhem because nobody quite knew what was going on. They had the wedding at St.Mary's School, in the gym. It was an odd location but it was neat to walk around my old elementary. The walls are yellow now, but not that faded beige yellow that's from 1965 that is in most schools, it's like new lemon yellow. It's different. So after helping out there, I had to go to work from 11pm-7am which was ok. Kinda boring, kinda tiring at the same time. Saturday I slept in for a bit before Scott and I headed out to grab a present and some clothes for the wedding. We thought we'd be late but we were like, the first people there. The wedding went good, I couldn't hear anything, but it was nice. It wasn't until like 6:30 so it was a late wedding, but whatever. The reception didn't start till like 9:30 and I couldn't stay for long because I had to go back to work at 11. Work was, again, boring but tiring. Sunday we didn't do much, just kinda lazed around and watched TV and went for dinner at my parents. Monday Scott and I took a spontaneous trip to Creston for the day. It wasn't too bad except for the rain. And the fact that most of the stores in Creston were closed so there really wasn't much to do. We kinda just drove around and explored the town. Then we went to this abonded campground that we went to last year to do a geocache, and it was so friggin scary. You park at this pullout on the highway and walk through the gate and then you're just in this old creepy run down campground. The tree's are huge and that just adds to the horror film factor. The bathrooms and site numbers and everything are still there and it's just wierd. Then today I got called in to work at the Center which was nice. I got to go swimming, then have lunch, and then go to subway for coffee....kind of an easy shift. I talked to my boss at the group home about this summer and we kind of got it all figured out. As of now, I work at 3 jobs: Community Living Center, 7th Street Group Home, and Wal-Mart. Although this weekend are my last shifts at Wally World. But then I'll be doing the Summer Rec program and still doing work at the group home. Crazy summer.....Crazy.... I hurt my back today at work. I don't really now what I did but it really really hurts to do anything...even sitting it hurts....hmm |
