October 13, 2005 ( Thursday, October 13, 2005 ) Thanksgiving was fun fun. The weekend itself went by so fast! Scott and I rented the new Family Guy movie. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be and the plot really didn't show itself until half way through, but it was still quite funny and worth a rental. On Saturday we went for a hike to the top of mountain near town that has a really nice viewpoint over the city, but there were people at the top fixing the radio tower so we left rather quickly. Sunday I went to church and then home to help my mom get ready for Thanksgiving  dinner. There were 20 people over for supper. Ciara is growing up so fast! She's already a month away from her first birthday. She isn't walking yet but she is saying either "taco" or "tickle" a lot. It was a great thanksgiving all in all. I ate a lot.....On monday, we went for lunch with Annalise! I vistited my grandma with my mom and ciara. Then we went birthday shopping for Scott. He didn't want us to buy anything more than $5. After shopping we went to my parents for b-day dinner. Not too much is happening the world of Joel. Pretty much just working everyday and filling in the gaps with (fun) stuff. Last night I went with my mom to the College's 30th Anniversary thing. There was cake and a concert with As The Crow Flies and then some comedian who told political jokes the whole time. I ended up winning a door prize (a book and a jacket) I gave my mom the book and kept the jacket even though it's a bit big. Scott and I will be going to Calgary on the 22nd to see Jann Arden. Unfortunately I don't know if I can make it to the Metric concert on the 26th as I'd have to miss 3 days of work. I wish that I could go but I don't know if I can. I found out the other day that there will be a Sarah Slean concert in Calgary at the end of November which I (really really) hope we can make it to. Well....food time! |
