Let's see, I'm trying to remember if anything really exciting happened between monday and wednesday of last week...nothing is coming to mind so I'm guessing not...

Thankfully, I got called into work on Wednesday night which was actually pretty good considering I haven't done a shift at the group home in a few months. While at work my mom called to tell me that someone quit at the center and that I should apply. She tells me things in the weirdest way. Here's the conversation

Me: Hi, I'm just returning your message
Mom: Oh, yeah....get your liscence
Me: What? Why?
Mom: Just get your liscence, you need it
Me: Why?
Mom: You just do
Me: um...okay
Mom: Someone quit at the center and there's a job opening

She could have at least told me at the beginning. She freaked me out because she made it sound like Scott was in a car accident or something. *sighs*

So then on Thursday I got called in at the center (they phoned at 9:15 to work at 9:30). It was ok...a bit frustrating becaus nobody really told me what I was doing there...like, usually they tell you who you're covering for so you know what to do but I had no idea. I also saw the job posting and it's only for 3 months but I still applied.

On friday we went to the mall just to walk around and we ran into Chris at the bookstore. He and Brandi were going to the late showing of Harry Potter and invited us to go along. So then we kinda just hung around. Chris came over and taught us how to play poker. I would have won if Chris hadn't forced me to put all my chips in. Oh well.

Harry Potter was really good. The fourth book was my favourite one out of all them so I was excited to see what they did with it. They kind of skipped over a few parts and didn't go into some of the parts I thought they would but all in all it was really good. The first two movies were kinda geared to kids a bit too much whereas this one was more like a regular movie. Parts of it actually scared me! I also got to wear my new Harry Potter scarf that I got in a swap on Craftster.

I did respite (kind of like babysitting) for a client on saturday and sunday which was fun. We pretty much watched some movies. Walked downtown and had lunch. Brett (the client) was so funny, he was trying to get me to ask one of the girls working at A&W to the christmas dance. We walked back and then made supper. Scott came over and we watched some movies. One was...funny even though it wasn't a comedy....

Sunday we just hung out and then went to my parents for dinner before going to the hockey game. I hadn't been to a hockey game in like 2 years, it was weird.

So, now I have a cold from walking outside on the weekend. I hope I get that job, it would help out so much.

Tomorrow night is the Sarah Slean concert! Woot!
