November 03, 2005 ( Thursday, November 03, 2005 ) well now what? My 6 week contract with the center ended on Halloween and now I'm back to playing the waiting game. Waiting everyday to see if I get called in to work. What a crappy thing to have to go through. It's hard because I could go find a job somewhere else but the center is where I want to work and I can't work there if I work somewhere else. So argh....ARGH! Halloween was alright. On Saturday I went with Trina to Finnigans for karaoke. She dressed up as Aretha Franklin for a contest where you dress up like the person whose songs you're singing. She was quite good, I'd post pictures but she might get mad. I went as a sailor, because I'm lame and didn't have any ideas at the time. On Sunday my mom entered this chili cookoff thing so we went there to support her. It was like official with judges and you had to place ballots on your favourite. My mom won third place. On actual halloween after work Scott and when grocery shopping and then carved some pumpkins...well, I carved them very rushed because I wanted them to go outside and it was already like 6. They didn't turn out well. Then we went to my parents to raid their candy bowl as they only had about 4 kids come to their house. So other than sitting around waiting to be called for work, I haven't been doing much else. I'm trying to get ideas ready for Christmas as I don't want to be stuck at the last minute. I've got at least one gift idea for each person in my family and for friends but I like to have fallback ideas too. 20 more days until Slean time!
