November 15, 2005 ( Tuesday, November 15, 2005 ) well, things haven't really changed on the job front. I just found out that I missed a shift for tonight because my phone was on vibrate and I couldn't hear it. Damn. It was kind of a mishmashed week. One of the clients from the group home passed away so that took a toll on me. Moreso than I thought it would. It's hard working in this field because you do get attached and do you bond with the clients and it's hard to deal with stuff like that. Thankfully the weekend picked up and didn't really allow me to be too sad.  Saturday was Ciara's first birthday (already!!) We went over and celebrated at the kid's party which was....interesting. A lot of small children, thankfully only a few were hopped up on sugar so it wasn't as bad as I thought. She finally got to have cake which we  missed but was apparently hilarious. I was supposed to do some respite on Saturday night but that got cancelled.On Sunday was Ciara's family birthday which was fun. Everyone came and we all had a big family dinner. We got Ciara a bumble ball thing which she liked and a little wagon filled with big lego blocks. She fits perfectly inside the wagon and seemed to love it. She had cake smeared all over her face and it was soooo funny. |
