So, in a little less than a week things have ironed themselves out.

Work

So about two weeks ago I found myself suddenly laid off of one of my jobs, essentially decreasing my paycheques in half which was not good at all. Suddenly I was faced with a desicion, either try to make it on just a few hours a week, or find a new job all together. Thankfully the next day my boss at the group home (it's called 7th Street for anyone who wants to know) called me and told me about two postings that had just come up. I looked it all up and based on seniority I was up for one of the positions. I applied and on monday I had a full time job! Finally, a job with benifits and holidays and all the things that I should have had a long time ago. I was a little worried about applying since I have to take 2 months off in May-June for my bike trip but my boss was actually very accomodating and said that it would all work out and that I shouldn't feel afraid to do things that I want to do.

Part of the reason that I was so stressed about getting my hours cut was because on top of my current bills and budgeting Scott and I decided that it was time to upgrade the truck and get something a little more reliable. We decided on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and we've had it for exactly one week today! It's nice to have a car that doesn't sound like it's going to blow up and it can fit more than 2 people and it's clean and everything. And now that I have a job, I'll be able to pay for it!
